Dr. Pola Cebulak gave a lecture on National Constitutional Courts and EU Law to students on Xueyuanlu Campus on the evening of 17 Oct, 2016.
The lecture was funded by the Jean Monnet Programme, moderated by Director of Institute of European Law Prof. Zhang Tong, making the 12th lecture of the series. Dr. Zhu Mingzhe from College of Comparative Law moderated the lecture, and A/Prof. Wang Wei provided commentary. Prof. Zhang Tong was also present.
The lecture mainly focused on the relationship between the EU courts and constitutional courts in each member country. Dr. Cebulak said this relationship is the most complicated and vital in terms of the EU justice system. Then, Dr. Cebulak analyzed the adjustment measures taken by the supreme courts of each member country when facing the Euro crisis. She also discussed the judicial review system’s influence on the Euro crisis.

Her research fields includes justice system, global constitutionalism, and relationships between legal orders to a global extent. She has published a number of paper and books on European integration by English, French, German and Polish.
