Prof. Zhang Shujing's book the Milestones of Euro was published by the China University of Political Science and Law Press in July 2013. This book is the research result of the 2011-2014 EU Jean Monnet Programme (Contract Number 2011-3251/001-001) led by Prof. Zhang Tong, and is also one of the 'EU Jean Monnet Programme Series'.
Based on the author's previous research on the euro and the European Economic and Monetary Union, this book analyzes the difficulties that the euro area has overcome one after another. The first six chapters of the book sort out the euro's single-currency barriers, regional currency status, international currency status, scale expansion, stable growth, and European debt crisis, while chapter 7 is a cautiously optimistic outlook on the eurozone's prospects.
