Deputy Director of the European Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Prof. Cheng Weidong gave a lecture on the E.U. New Free Trade Agreement: Objective and Regulation to the students on the afternoon of 28 May, 2015.
This lecture is also associated with the 156th lecture of Masters' Forum held by the university. It was organized by the College of Comparative Law, moderated by the Director of Europe Research Center Prof. Zhang Tong and commented by the Director of International Economy Research Center of Business School Prof. Zhang Shujing.
Prof. Cheng Weidong is a well-known European Law expert with high reputation inChina, who is a professor at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as well as doctorate students' supervisor.
During this lecture Prof. Cheng first introduced the changes of the E.U. New FreeTrade Agreement (FTA) since year 2006. Then, he explained the main content of the new agreement and analyzed the measures that EU took to establish the connection between the objectives of new FTA and regulation. At last, he put forward several thoughts on the practice of the new agreement.
