Thomas Moellers gives a lecture

Prof. Thomas Moellers, the Executive Deputy Dean of Law School & Director of Institute of European Law of Augsburg University, gave a lecture on New Development of European Capital Market Law to the student on Xueyuanlu Campus on the evening of 17 Nov, 2015.

At Director of EU Law Institute Prof. Zhang Tong's invitation, as well as to implement "Jean Monnet Program", Prof. Moellers delivered this speech.

Prof. Moellers suggested that during the last decade the global financial crisis has required law makers to take immediate actions while the capital market law has already boosted in the European Union. He first introduced the problems that may occur during the mediation of European capital legal system, including pressure from the E.U. member's advance legislation, difference between the E.U.'s regulations and instructions on the legislation pattern of capital market law, the E.U. law's selection and usage of minimum and maximum coordination, and the choice on the application of public law or private law when facing illegal act violating capital market law. Then, he analyzed and explained the above issues by setting detailed examples.

During the Q&A section, Prof. Moellers and the audiences had an enthusiastic interaction.
