Professor André Janssen, private law professor at the the Law School of Radboud University in Netherland, gave a lecture on the Disclosure on AI Contract to students on Xueyuanlu Campus on the evening of 15 May, 2019.
The lecture was co-organized by the EU Law Institute and the Institute for the law of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Regions of the College of Comparative Law as the seventh of the serial celebrating lectures on the 10th Anniversary of the College.
Prof. Zhang Tong, the Director of the EU Law Institute & EU Jeanne Monnet Professor, moderated the lecture. Commentators included the Deputy Director of the Institute for the law of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Regions Dr. Yang Ziyan and A/Prof. Jin Jing from the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School of CUPL.
During the two-hour speech, Prof. Janssen analyzed several controversial issues focused on the actual import, main features and running course of the AI contracts based on blockchains. He also explored the legal issues related to AI contracts that already happened and will be happening in the future. Then, Yang Ziran and Jin Jing offered comments on the topic.
The lecture aroused a heated discussion between the professors and students during the Q&A section.
Before the lecture, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of CUPL Prof. Liu Chengwei met with Prof. Janssen. Dr. Enno Ruppert, the Legal Consultant of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH also attended the meeting and the lecture.
