Celebrating 10th anniversary of the College: Symposium on Technology and Law: Legal Thoughts on AI held

Sponsored by the College of Comparative Law and organized by the Journal of Comparative Law, the Symposium on Technology and Law: Legal Thoughts on AI was held in Beijing Jingyi Hotel on the afternoon of 18 June, 2019.

Over sixty senior editors from journals including the Social Sciences in China, Chinese Journal of Law, China Legal Science, Xinhua Digest, Journal of the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC(Chinese Academy of Governance), Global Law Review, Law Science Magazine, The Jurist, Peking University Law Journal, Tsinghua University Law Journal, Tribune of Political Science and Law and Journal of Comparative Law, and experts and scholars from the universities like Shandong University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Anhui University, Chongqing University and CUPL attended the conference.

Vice President of CUPL Prof. Shi Jianzhong, Deputy Director of the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences & Chief Editor of Global Law Review & Vice-President of the Law Journal Society of China Law Society Prof. Zhou Hanhua, and Professor at the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences & Associate Editor of Chinese Journal of Law & Executive Vice President of the Law Journal Society of China Law Society Prof. Zhang Guangxing presented the opening remarks.

During the symposium, each senior editors provided the authors of conference paper with professional and in-detail analysis and comments. Then the participants exchanged opinions and ideas on legal issues associated with artificial intelligence in-depth.

This event is also the second of the serial celebrating symposiums on the 10th Anniversary of the College of Comparative Law. Dean of the College Prof. Xie Zhiyong and Chief Editor of the Journal of Comparative Law Prof. Gao Xiang moderated the conference.
