The 2025 Belt and Road High-Level Dialogue on the Integration of Law and Business and International Commercial Arbitration was held in Qingdao on 23 Oct. Professor Gao Xiang, Vice-Chair of the ICC Commission on Commercial Law and Practice, Executive Chair of the ICC China Commission on Commercial Law and Practice, and Professor at the College, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled the Understanding and Applying INCOTERMS@2020 Correctly.

The Dialogue was co-hosted by the ICC China National Committee and the ICC International Court of Arbitration, and co-organised by the Administrative Committee of the China–SCO Demonstration Zone for Local Economic and Trade Cooperation, the Shandong Bar Association, and the Qingdao Bar Association. Supporting organisations included the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the Shandong Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Qingdao Bureau of Justice, the Qingdao Chamber of International Commerce, the Qingdao Arbitration Commission, and the Shanghe Legal District of Qingdao Central Legal Affairs Zone.

Partner organisations included Zhong Lun Law Firm, Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP (Shenzhen Representative Office), and Zhong Lun Wende Law Firm.

The Dialogue attracted over 260 representatives from the arbitration, legal, and business communities, who participated in person to discuss international dispute resolution and the integration of law and commerce under the Belt and Road Initiative.
