College students participate in ‘CUPLers’ Marathon

The Sixth ‘CUPLers’ Marathon & the 2025 ‘My Youth at CUPL’ Anniversary Long-distance Run was held, to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of the University and promote the all-round development of students in morality, intellect, and physical fitness, on Changping Campus on 10 May. Five postgraduate students from the College participated in the race: year 2023 entering student Hu Qiancheng, and year 2024 entering students Lyu Huitao, Zhang Ya odong, Gao Jingna, and Zhou Tongxin.



The marathon attracted a large number of students, faculty and alumni. The race officially began at 09:00 a.m. Runners enjoyed the breeze and sunshine as they experienced the energy of running and the vibrancy of life on the CUPL campus. Throughout the race, the College students showed great determination and unwavering spirit. From the excitement of the starting line to the physical challenges of the final stretch, they pressed on with perseverance and grit, demonstrating the vigorous spirit and resilience of a new generation of youth.


Lyu Huitao finished with an impressive time of 55 minutes and 8 seconds, closely followed by Hu Qiancheng at 55 minutes and 18 seconds. Zhang Yaodong and Gao Jingna crossed the finish line together at 1 hour, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds, while Zhou Tongxin completed the race in 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 17 seconds.


Thanks to their outstanding individual performances and strong team collaboration, the College’s joint team with the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science and the China-EU School of Law earned first place in Group B of the team category. This achievement fully reflected the students’ enterprising spirit and determination to excel.


This event not only benefited students’ physical and mental well-being but also strengthened the sense of collective honor and cohesion within the College. The participants expressed their intention to carry forward the perseverance and positive mindset demonstrated in the marathon into their studies and future life, embracing upcoming challenges with enthusiasm and resolve. Looking ahead, the College will continue to actively promote the holistic development of students, upholding the ideal of ‘excellence in both virtue and law, strength in both mind and body’, and together writing a new chapter of youth and progress at CUPL.
