The delegation of the Beijing Central Business District International Business Services Co., Ltd., led by its General Manager Zhang Liwen, visited the College on Haidian Campus on the afternoon of 26 June.

Chair of the College Council Gu Yongqiang, Deputy Chair Tian Zhaojun, Office Director Liu Ming and Student Tutor Yang Mingquan attended the meeting. Also present were Hou Yi, Executive Dean of the Chaoyang Two Zones Construction Research Institute, and Liu Fanfan, the company’s HR Manager. The meeting was chaired by Tian Zhaojun.

Tian warmly welcomed Zhang Liwen and the delegation on behalf of the College. He expressed the hope that through mutual exchanges and dialogue, both sides could establish close cooperation in student internships, practical training and the cultivation of foreign-related legal professionals.

Gu Yongqiang provided a brief introduction to the development and academic features of both the university and the college. He noted that comparative law is a high-level discipline promoting legal civilisation through the study of different national and regional legal systems. He said, the College is dedicated not only to supporting the rule of law in China through rigorous research but also to training versatile foreign-related legal talents who are proficient in multiple languages and legal systems. He emphasised that a strong business environment depends on solid legal support, and that the College can collaborate with the company in regional and country-specific legal research and talent training to achieve a mutually beneficial partnership.

Zhang Liwen introduced the basic profile of Beijing Central Business District International Business Services Co., Ltd. He noted that Beijing CBD concentrates the city’s most extensive international resources and that the company is the only specialised business services and investment promotion platform in Chaoyang District. He said, its four core business areas include international investment promotion, business services, Two Zones research, and branding events. He highlighted the company’s urgent needs in areas such as international dual-directional investment services and Two Zones research, expressing hope for collaboration with the College in teaching practice and academic research.

Hou Yi introduced the main activities of the Chaoyang Two Zones Construction Research Institute, while Liu Fanfan outlined the company’s HR policies and internship recruitment needs.

During the discussion session, both sides held further talks on cooperation in legal-business integration, regional and country-specific legal research, legal practice and foreign-related talent training. They reached a preliminary consensus on strengthening research collaboration, providing regional legal support, and offering student internship opportunities.

This visit is an important step in advancing plans for foreign-related legal talent development and in building CUPL’s Foreign-Related Rule of Law Base (Beijing Chaoyang). The College would take this cooperation as an opportunity to continue improving its social service capacity, academic development and talent training efforts, contributing to the university’s ‘Double First-Class’ initiative and the advancement of foreign-related rule of law work.
