Balduin Benesch holds the position of Vice-Dean at the Sino-German Institute of Law of China University of Political Science and Law. He completed his first legal state exam at Humboldt-University in Berlin and holds an LL.M. from the Humboldt-University and Tongji-University in Shanghai. He took on his legal clerkship in the District Lawcourt in Ulm, Germany. His professional experience includes positions at the China desk of the law firm Taylor Wessing in Munich and the German Centre Beijing. In academia, he has taught law at the University Ulm until 2024 and completed a Master in Psychology at the Peking University in Beijing. His Chinese studies and research in China were funded by the German Academic Exchange Service and the Chinese Scholarship Council.
