Matthew Diller gives a lecture

Dean of the School of Law of Fordham University Prof. Matthew Diller gave a lecture on the Sources of U.S. Presidential Power and Their Limitationson the afternoon of 13 March, 2017. Associate Dean of the College Prof. Xie Libin moderated the lecture. The Graduate Admissions Officer/Enrollment Specialist of International and Non-JD Programs of Fordham Law Dr. Martin Slavens, Director of the China-American Law Institute Prof. Liu Chengwei and its Deputy Director A/Prof. Feng Kai attended the lecture.

Prof. Miller discussed the contours of U.S. presidential powers with examples of recent challenges and obstacles faced by the Trump administration.He analyzed the sources of presidential powers in the U.S., the legal and practical constraints of presidential power, and the roles other branches of government play.

Prof. Miller and the audiences discussed the issues on the U.S.presidency and its constitution development during the Q&A section.
