DaF test-taking experience exchange meeting held

The College of Comparative Law held the DaF Test-Taking Experience Exchange Meeting online on 10 June, 2022. Student Jin Chu moderated the meeting, year 2020 entering students Ke Zixin and Zhang Xiaoyu and year 2019 entering students Xiao Yi shared their experience on the preparation of the test.



Based on their own experience, the three students shared a lot of practical experience in preparing for the examination with Desfaux and DSH.


At the meeting, based on their own experience, the three students started from the preparation plan, question types, preparation materials of TestDaF and DSH test (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber), sharing a lot of useful tips with the audiences.


According to Ke, most important points for preparing for taking TestDaF are daily accumulation and template memory. She shared three main ways to learn German, including accumulating language experience through regular classes, reading German news and paying attention to the learning materials in certain German learning official accounts.


Zhang Xiaoyu made a detailed introduction to the types of questions, tools and resources of the examination. In addition, she also shared her preparation timeline and plans, suggesting that everyone take the test as soon as possible and not be afraid of difficulties when attending the German module next term.


Xiao Yi introduced DSH and shared his experience in preparing for the exam. Starting from the policies of the College’s German-related programs, he explained many details such as exam application, preparation and question types. He also compared the advantages and disadvantages of taking DSH, suggesting the students to think wisely and choose one examination that fits them.


In the meeting, the participants actively asked questions, each of which was well-answered. This exchange increased the students’ confidence in learning German, provided them with a basic understanding of the two tests, and led them to adopt effective language learning methods and techniques for preparation.
