The Assessment Meeting of Annual Baosteel Education Award and its Awarding Ceremony was held at China Baowu Steel Group in Shanghai on 24 November, 2019.

Dean of the College Prof. Xie Zhiyong won the 2019 Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award on the meeting. Other recipients from CUPL included Prof. Pang Jinyou for the same award and four students for Baosteel Excellent Student Award.

The University nominated two professors for the Baosteel awards and Prof. Xie Zhiyong was the candidate for Top Teacher Award. The series of Baosteel Education Awards recipients of the year were selected from 75 universities and 2 assessment institutions. 254 teachers and 470 students could be the winner of awards of Excellent Teacher and Excellent Student, and out of them 8 teachers and 25 students could be awarded the Top.
