Professor Wang is the second Chinese ever elected to the prestigious American Law Institute (ALI); Vice Chair of International Legal Education and Specialist Certification Committee and Vice Chair of Art and Cultural Property Law Committee at the American Bar Association (ABA); and a member of the ABA Human Rights Advisory Council. He also serves on the ABA Steering Groups for Chinese Law, and Immigration and Naturalization Law. He was a Visiting Scholar at the American Bar Foundation (ABF).

He is also a member of Civil Engagement Committee of Minnesota Governor Dayton’s Diversity Council, and a board member of Immigration Law Council, Minnesota State Bar Association. In 2017, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton appointed Wang as a member of the Minnesota Zoological Board. In 2018 Chief Justice Lorie Gildea of the Minnesota Supreme Court appointed Wang as a member of the Minnesota State Board of Continuing Legal Education.


Professor Wang is also adjunct professor of law at the University of Minnesota Law School, University of Minnesota Honors Program, Metropolitan State University School of Management, and Mitchell Hamline School of Law in the United States; guest professor of law at the University of Bern Faculty of Law and University of Lucerne Faculty of Law in Switzerland; visiting professor at the University of Milan in Italy, the University of Vienna in Austria, and Charles Darwin University in Australia; and guest professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University Law School.


Professor Wang has been admitted into law practice in New York, Minnesota, the District of Columbia, and the federal courts. He practices corporate law, immigration law, and art law with Kingsfield Law Office.
